GrowVation: an Engineer’s Best Friend!
A platform exclusively made for budding engineers in India: GrowVation promises to disrupt the hiring structure, and also provides all resources that cater to the needs of engineers and innovators of our country.
Founded and co-Founded by Devender Singh Bohra (CEO) and Avinderpal Singh (CTO) respectively, GrowVation has rooted from UIETians Hub, which was an app specifically made for the students of UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh — the alma mater of the Founders. The positive response of their peers made them decide to expand the app for all the Engineering Colleges of the nation.
GrowVation’s most attractive feature is its Project Feed where students can upload their projects to showcase it to the community. The project feed displays projects that can be of any stage — right from the stage of ideation to completion. There are various categories and subcategories of projects available, and deserving projects are ranked accordingly on Growvation’s Leaderboard, another key feature of the platform.
The Leaderboard makes it easier for companies to reach out to worthy students, and select the ones best suited to work with them. Conversely, it helps talented and skilled students to gain the spotlight they deserve.
Along with it, it has a College Page which notifies about all the events of all the colleges around, gives information about the faculty and also provides question papers and workshop content among other things. It improves inter-college and intra-college connectivity along with providing useful resources to the students, bringing the engineering community closer to each other.
GrowVation’s Search Page helps you connect with People useful to you, Events and Happening around you and Opportunities from various Companies available at that time for anyone to apply.
The Chatroom helps you interact with your connections individually or in the form of groups, be it casual or professional in nature.
Lastly, the Profile or portfolio identifies you. Here you can display your personal information as well as contact details, including your profile picture/1-minute intro video. The portfolio also displays your number of connections, profile views, your top three skills, your projects and your full resume.
